Jody Begley, LMSW-C
Psychotherapist • Licensed Clinical Social Worker

My professional training and life experiences have culminated in a commitment to help individuals cope with the debilitating symptoms of anxiety, panic, OCD, and depression. I am particularly passionate about supporting mothers facing perinatal/postpartum mood and anxiety disorders (PMAD) and families struggling with parenting challenges.

I encourage you to explore the items I’ve shared on Anxiety & Depression, Postpartum Struggles, and Parenting Challenges. If something strikes a chord with you, you've probably landed in the right place.

In 2001, I earned a master of social work degree from the University of Michigan in Ann Arbor. I am a parent (of teenagers!) and a professionally licensed clinical social worker with over 20 years of experience working with children, parents, and families in clinical and school settings.

I am a telehealth therapist. This means I conduct counseling sessions online via video conferencing where I interact with my clients in real-time. My communication style is straightforward with a discerning touch of humor. My clinical approach is action-oriented and solution-focused. I won’t just be asking you, “how did that make you feel?” Together, we will identify action steps and develop coping skills to help you start to experience positive change immediately.

It's very difficult to muster motivation and hope when you are buried in the throes of crisis. It doesn't always feel appropriate or safe to process these issues with friends or family. Reserve time for yourself. I’m an online therapist so I can meet you exactly where you are, exactly as you are.

Therapy works best when clients connect with clinicians who have professional training, experience, and expertise specific to their treatment needs.
